Truth Hurts

You know,

Forgive me, but I'm not going to join with the ignorant youth of this nation, and dance over the death of Osama bin Laden. Don't get me wrong, he had it  coming and justice has been served. I'm with everyone on that.

What sours the event for me is truth, yeah I know, take a shot of Jack and dance with us on his grave Joe! Truth is the real killjoy here, sorry folks.

Lets cover the facts in brief...

Osama and his minions took the lives of two-thousand, nine hundred and seventy four people on September 1st, 2001. In doing so they irrevocably and directly affected the lives of tens of thousands of it's victims families, friends, New Yorkers, and the world.

Bush and his minions, invaded Afghanistan and then not long after, Iraq under the auspices of finding, capturing or killing the leaders of this terrible action on US soil.

Here are the results...http://www.unknownnews.net/casualties.html

Not bad, if your into the whole death and carnage thing I suppose.

I no longer subscribe to the bull shit, all that matters is truth. Of course this only touches on a part of that truth, the loss in dollars to our economy with our blood sweat and tears can be found here... http://costofwar.com/en/

I'm sorry, but what the fuck is everybody dancing about?

Just Joe

  1. I have mixed feelings about the death of Osama bin Laden. I am certain he was a very dangerous man-- otherwise we would not have allied ourselves with him during the 1980's and supplied him with weapons in Afghanistan. He was after 9/11 a focal point for US rage. My mixed feelings come from how much of a symbol he was both in the US and in the Muslim world. He was a known figure. The US is much hated elsewhere-- and the greatest hatred for the US comes from the Muslim world. I am not certain that bombing Iraq and killing bin Laden will do much to make the world a safer and less hateful place.

  2. Hello Anne,

Always a pleasure to hear from you, your comments are much appreciated.

This country is hated, but more specifically this countries elite are some of the most hated in the world. I believe we have them and Friedmanism to thank for the lions share of that hatred.

Treat anyone like shit long enough, make clear your disdain of their beliefs and traditions, rob, cheat, and murder them for their valuables, and what else can you expect?

Muslim countries tend to have some of the richest resources in the world, yet they have the poorest populations in the world.

This country has a long standing tradition of supporting dictators, just so long as the benefits to their corporate interest(PROFIT)work in their favor.

South America is only now throwing it's IMF and World Bank shackles, and though the antiquated pall of socialism (communism)is being painted by the corporately owned media giants, a simple examination of those countries economic recovery reveals a different picture.

Of course this didn't all happen without a public who for the most part was willing to benefit from cheap goods while turning a largely blind eye to the loss of jobs here, and the abuse of third world people as a labor resource.

Our problem is that we have turned the leadership of this country over to people willing to rule and benefit from doing so. We vote for charisma, or the direction of the tide, rarely for ideals.

As a country and a people, were a mess. I hope things will change, but wow, right now I don't have a lot of hope for us. :(

    Just Joe
